Background of the study
Learning
process is sometimes boring. Therefore, teacher needs to refresh the students
so that they can enjoy the class for example by doing games or challenges. Fun activity
can be simply done, just by paper, board or marker. In this writing, the writer
only provide old, simple games which doesn’t need more property.
Here, the writer provides some games which is usually applied in her classroom
1. PANTOMYME CHALLENGE
This
challenge mostly related to verbal learning. Here, the teacher must provide
small scrolling paper which written verbal words such as run, sing, drink, fly
and so on.
First,
choose one of student to take a scrolling paper and act is written on the
paper. Then, other students have
to guess about the activity that has been shown. Both, the actor and guesser
get reward. For the next, the actor has right to choose other student to be the
actor.
2. GUESSING PICTURE
Here,
the teacher needs to provide picture just like flash cards. It is very easy and
simple. To make it challenging, the picture may a bit harder. The teacher may
give clue by describing the picture.
3. ANAGRAM
This
game can be done in a group. The teacher will write words and the group should
make new word from those letters, yes, just use alphabet that given by teacher.
The students will write on board one by one.
Then, at
last, the teacher counts how many words they make. For more challenging, the
teacher must limit the time. Those who doesn’t have turn to write, must sit
down nicely.
This make the students to write on
the whiteboard. They make new word from the last letter, so , it is done
spontaneously. Again, the teacher must limit the time and rules : no less than
three alphabet ( So, noone will write “no, in, at, he, up etc”.)If the students
can’t write a new word in certain time, make consequence such as put sticker on
cheek hahahaa...

group of students. One of students must go to the teacher and read the
sentences given by the teacher. Then, the student will whisper to his group. The
last student will write the sentences given.
Example
of sentences:

sister play sand at the sea every Sunday
6. Simon says
It is a common game. This game is
actually to test students’concentration and recognition of noun. However, it
can be simplified such as part’s of body.
First, give instruction to the
students “ Do my instruction it started with the words Simon Says”.
Then, the teacher will give
instruction whether started by Simon Says or not.
For those who break the rules, the
teacher can make consequences such as by giving simple question.
cONCLUSION
There are many ways to attract the
students’ interest by creating games. To make them in line with our learning,
we need to create games which has relation to our study
